Frequently Asked Questions

Who should attend this event?

Unlike other conferences, the summit is a uniquely cross-sector event where people across government, education, nonprofits, businesses, and activism come together. We welcome anyone who is working in their community to make a difference.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are available on a sliding scale from $149-399. We ask that you select a ticket price matching the size and budget of your organization. If you are a youth or do community work on your own time, without the support of an organization, please select the ticket price that is accessible to you.

Who is the Civic Canopy?

The Civic Canopy is a community-based nonprofit focused on transforming the way we solve society’s big, sticky issues. We partner with individuals, organizations, and coalitions to provide training, coaching, and facilitation to help people collaborate better. Learn more at www.civiccanopy.org.

Why Colorado Springs?

We’ve heard from our network that too many things happen just in Denver. To meet the needs of all the folks we serve, we’ll be moving locations for each of our upcoming events to different areas of the state. Last time was Aurora, this time Colorado Springs, but it’ll be another location next time.

When should I arrive?

Pre-Summit Happy Hour
Join us for happy hour and Civic Power Walk at the Atrevida Beer Company from 4:00 – 6:00 pm the night before the Summit, May 20th. Atrevida Beer Company is the first Latina-owned brewery in Colorado and is veteran-owned too! First round is on us!

What’s a Power Walk? We’ll give you options to explore the neighborhood with a group, exploring how the place around you came to be that way. What were the civic activities that shaped this place? Then we’ll return to share a drink and connect. Learn more about Power Walks in this recent story from the New York Times.
